epic computer fail
Still dead. Tried rolling back the driver. Still gone. Tried system restore. Still gone. Cannot remove video card, is attached to other parts of the computer... Any ideas? I think I need to do a full reinstall... |

computer help
Posting this from my phone. I installed an up to date driver for my NVIDIA Geforce 6800 card. Then when I ran WoW, my computer stopped. On restart, I get coloured dots on the screen on the load screens, then the monitor goes blank after the windows icon. I think it is either displaying too high a resolution for the monitor or failing to feed anything to the monitor. It starts in VGA 8 colours and safe mode but any attempt to alter the graphics settings causes the same problem. Help me internet, you're my only hope! |

I'm undecided as to what to do with Elliott, mechanically, in GIR. He's staying pretty much as is in the UK chronicle. Now, I'm halfway through moving Covenants mechanically, but all my links are in the UK. So I've got no real motivation to do it internationally / GIR. So, what to do with him? I can't go Brood, which is a shame as it would make a lot of sense. But Michelle won't let me take any Global apps while I'm AMST - and quitting so I can get some applications on my characters through before reset isn't exactly reasonable behaviour. Returning to the Crone isn't going to happen - Patrick Coetzer is still walking around. Other than that, I'm rather short on ideas about where to go. The US Requiem chronicle is the reason we need a reset in the first place, so I'm not exactly inspired. Current Mood:  thoughtful |

A sign of the times
On my way back from my shopping, there were three Muslim ladies also doing their shopping. This is not unusual, nor a sign of the times. It looked like three generations of the same family... All three wore headscarves. But grandma's headscarf was Calvin Klein, and the daughter had a MacKenzie top on. The mix of modern and traditional amused me somewhat. Especially Calvin Klein headscarves. Interestingly, it was the youngest of them who had a face covering - the other two were wearing head scarves that allowed their faces to be visible.
